Return & Refund Policy – STATE OF CHIC, LLC

We want you to feel confident shopping with State of Chic. We accept eligible returns requested within 30 days of delivery.

Return eligibility

Items must be returned in the same condition in which they were received, with any attached tags and accessories included. Trying an item on is fine; items must not be worn, washed, altered, or damaged after delivery.

Our collection includes new, dead stock, preloved, and vintage pieces. Please review each listing’s photos, measurements, and condition notes before purchasing. Disclosed wear is part of the item’s described condition. Eligible items may still be returned for fit or change of mind under this policy.

How to start a return

For purchases made on stateofchic.store, contact us through our website’s Contact page within 30 days of delivery. Include your order number, the item you wish to return, and the reason for your return. We will provide return instructions and the correct return address. Please do not send your return to the address on the original shipping label unless we instruct you to do so.

Ship your return within 14 days after we provide return instructions. Package it securely and use a tracked shipping service. Keep your shipping receipt until your refund is complete.

Return shipping

For fit, preference, or change-of-mind returns, the buyer pays return shipping. Any separately charged original shipping is nonrefundable for these returns. We do not charge a restocking fee.

If we sent the wrong item, or your item arrived damaged or materially different from its description, contact us promptly with your order number and, if possible, photos. We will cover necessary return shipping and refund the item price, applicable tax, and original shipping charges for the affected item.

Refunds

For website purchases, we will inspect your return and issue an eligible refund to your original payment method within 5 business days of receiving it. Your bank or payment provider may take additional time to post the refund. Applicable sales tax will be refunded as required.

If a return arrives in a different condition or is missing included items, we will contact you before determining the refund, subject to applicable law and marketplace rules.

Exchanges

Because many of our pieces are one of a kind, we do not offer direct exchanges. Please request a return and place a separate order for any available replacement.

Marketplace purchases

For purchases made through eBay or another marketplace, start your return through the platform where you placed your order. That platform’s return procedures, deadlines, refund timing, and buyer protections apply. Where its rules differ from this policy, the marketplace’s rules govern that purchase.

Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under applicable consumer protection laws.
